TANGENT AGING CARE
Our body is the "Temple of Health", resting on the majestic pillars of Cleanliness and Nutrition.
The steps leading up to the temple are paved with:
Health and exercise
Exercise is the first step in promoting health and longevity by increasing circulation in the lymphatic and circulatory systems, helping the body to eliminate toxins.
More importantly, research has shown that performing such activities at least 2-3 times a week, for 30-45 minutes each time, preserves muscle tone and maintains basal metabolic rate.
Our residents get daily exercise and individualized exercise with the help of our staff.
Health and sun
The sun's vibrant energy is the most powerful life-supporting force. Different frequencies of this energy have different biological effects on our mood, behaviour and vitality.
The light is a crucial nutrient for optimal health. Research shows that this full spectrum of daylight is necessary to stimulate our endocrine system.
Health and attitude
Positive emotional support makes a big contribution to overall health. The immune system is controlled by the midbrain, i.e. the limbic system, through the thymus.
The midbrain also controls emotions, so it's easy to see how unresolved emotional issues can shut down the immune system.
Visits received by residents from family and grandchildren contribute to emotional support.
Health and clean water
Water is the body's second most critical requirement. Many aches and pains are the result of inadequate water intake. The body cannot cleanse itself effectively without adequate water.
Adults need 4-6 glasses of purified water daily, in addition to other fluids ingested.
Health and clean air
Oxygen is the main nutrient the body needs, about 800 litres a day. Partial lack of oxygen (hypoxia) will cause major health problems over time. Many people spend long periods of time indoors - up to 80-90% of their lives. For this reason, some experts believe that more people suffer from the effects of indoor air pollution than from outdoor pollution.
The California Air Resources Board estimates that indoor air pollutant levels are 25-62% higher than outdoor levels and can pose serious health problems.
